Take the challenge and join us for an angling trip
you will never forget!
We have a diversified selection of rivers and lakes. From San Carlos de Bariloche and Junin de los Andes we fish the Nahuel Huapi National Park and Lanin National Park, where natural surroundings are extremely beautiful. Normally we fish in many different areas and rivers, to give the angler a broader experience. These waters offer many challenging characteristics from shallow riffles, fast runs, deep pools, undercut banks, isolated channels, vegetation mats, and deadfall structures. All holding large quantity of Patagonian wild trout.
We will be fishing the following dream rivers and lakes: Limay, Manso, Pichi Leufu, Malleo, Chimehuin, Alumine, Collon Cura, Caleufu and Fonck, Roca & Hess Lake.
We will wade or float the waters all day long looking for the best spots and we will treat you to “Asados” (Argentinean Barbeques) or home made meals on the banks of these wonderful rivers.
Float trip expedition
This allows unparalleled access to the wildest and most remote of streams, some of which may never have been fished by another angler all season.
The Area & Rivers. Floating trips and expeditions incorporates a very large potential area to fish. On any given trip we may get into the heart of the National Parks and depending on the weather and river conditions… where we go isn’t 100% pre-determined. But we worked out to suit the conditions we encounter so we can maximize your time and chances of being in some of the most isolated and inspiring fly fishing on the planet and the chance to hook into truly stunning wild trout!
The floating trip expedition is a fishing trip lasting from two to six days, depending on the river destination. A cargo raft will carry all personal gear and equipment ahead of us while anglers are fishing. The “cargo-guides” will set up a full camp site with dinner, kitchen and anglers tents. Six man dome tents are shared by two anglers, offering plenty of room to get comfortable, and are complete with cots, sleeping bags, and air mattresses. The hearty dinners are cooked "Argentina Style" over an open fire and you can expect the best of local produce and meats prepared with large portions and a wonderful selection of Argentine Malbec wines.
The following morning after an American style breakfast, guides and anglers will start fishing and floating down stream while the cargo-guides pack all of the gear and meet us at and assemble our next camp site.
Note: For this kind of adventure, we will provide all of the necessary equipment and we use the best camping gear available on the market!
Floating Day Trips. Some areas we have access only by boat. These areas do not see much in the way of human beings and can offer some of the best wilderness fishing in Patagonia. Depending on your desires and river destination these can also be turned into an overnight expedition.
The Fishing. All of these waters have large quantity of wild brown, rainbow and brook trout as well. The average size or quantities of fish we can catch depend on many factors and circumstances but, you will be for sure satisfied at the end of each trip. The opportunities for true wild trophy trout are always possible with huge fish being landed each year by many lucky anglers.
After booking an expedition. We will send you a comprehensive information pack and a check list, to be sure you arrive with everything you will really need.
