The Patagonia region and most specific San Carlos de Barloche, Junin de los Andes and San Martin de los Andes are well known and world recognized as one of the top 5 fly fishing destination in earth.

The Patagonia fly fishing season runs from November 1st to the end of May, but near Bariloche town we can fly fish in the great MorenoLake all year around.

Opening fly fishing Bariloche season, November. This is one of the best times considering fish have had no fishing pressure for at list 6 months and are often less spooky after a long break from anglers.

Summer, December until end of February. This is no dude prime time for sight and dry fly fishing. If you love to cast attractors and catch a big browns… you will have the fight of your life.
Autumn, March, April & May. Time for abundant numbers of big migratory browns coming from the lakes up into the rivers to spawn and this fish usually are feeding heavily in preparation for winter. Troughs all this period of time the Patagonia fly fishing conditions such as the river water level, weather and fish behavior change all the time.
