Established in 1997, “Outfitters Patagonia” is a guide service specializing in exceptional fly fishing adventures. We are based in San Carlos de Bariloche, the doorway to Patagonia.

Martin Freedman head guide and owner of “Outfitters Patagonia”, is from Bariloche. He has extensive experience as a fly fishing guide in the National Parks. He is an honorary “Wildlife Ranger”, director and teacher of the “Fly Fishing Guides - Navigation Rivers Program” and a member of the commission from “Fly Fishing Guides Association” of Patagonia and Nahuel Huapi National Park. For several years, Martin has spent his off season time traveling the world as a rafting guide.

 

All members of the guide team are fully licensed fly fishing guides and are all from Argentina. From the moment they pick you up, they will be your hosts, guides, translators, drivers, cooks, and most importantly, your friends. We believe we have one of the best guide crews in Patagonia!

Our mission is to provide the best service available to our guests. We are only satisfied when our clients leave with the feeling that their expectations have been met or exceeded and we believe that personal attention to details is the key for a successful trip.

Boats and Equipment Offered. We use “Hy-side Katarafts” when floating, with swivel seats, anchor systems, and dry storage. These boats were designed specifically for fly fishing and are a pleasure to fish from. Each team of guides maintains contact throughout the day with hand-held radios for communication when we are in the most remote locations.
